Just one line shows what a degenerate liar Campion is

We’ve all known for a long time that Patrick Campion ia a degenerate liar.

Just one line from the latest propaganda served up to members about the airhead development is enough to remind us.

Campion told members “we received strong interest from leading developers …”

Well no, they didn’t.

Not only do we know this is a lie (because it was common knowledge in Sydney property circles that none of the leading developers would touch City Tatts after Mirvac dropped it) but if you think about it, it has to be a lie.

If the club had received any interest from any leading developer they would be dealing with them now!

But they’re not.

They had to go to Melbourne to find a property broker, to come up with a plan to present to members at the AGM.

So if you happen to bump into Campion and he mentions “leading developers” ask him this question:

How come you’re not dealing with one?

Here we go again – another DA!

Yes, here we go again.

City Tatts will lodge a replacement Stage 1 DA today, according to the Financial Review.

The first DA was lodged by Mirvac in June 2014, before they walked away from the whole deal in October 2014.

But the council advised the Club to withdraw that DA in April this year.

Interesting aside about Mirvac: They were able to complete and lodge a Development Application for a 48 storey building for City Tatts but were unable to agree on a Development Management Agreement with the Club. That is really telling us something.

Which raises the question – Has the latest development “team” signed a Development Management Agreement with the Club?

This is going to be fun to watch!

Airhead Development Update from Tweedledee August 2015

The Club still has no plans for the proposed new (ie. two years old) development. We just cobbled together a “team” in April with the help of a Melbourne property broker so we would have something to say to members at the AGM. The Committee is continuing to dramatically reduce member facilities and to destroy any long term future of the Club.

To ensure members continue to be deceived about the lack of progress of the proposed development, a Brief Members Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday 18 August 2015 at 6.45pm, with a follow-up meeting at midnight for our Rookwood members.

It is proposed that another two Brief Member Meetings will be presented to members in late September 2015 and October 2015, to continue the tradition of lying to members about the problems with the property development, prior to a member vote. Early voting returns from Rookwood show 100% support, just like when Rick Faulkner was elected.

Certain actions need to be carried out prior, such as actually coming up with a design to present to Council, and because we have no idea when that might happen the Club will send emails to members who have provided these details at least 28 years prior. Signage will also be posted on the Club’s noticeboard which is in a dark corner, behind a bookcase, after you turn left at the reception desk in the second floor office. Or you could ask Jan Ellks.

If you are not able to attend these meetings you will be much better informed that those who do.

Trading Update from Tweedledee August 2015

The first half of the year’s trading has been solid except for those areas that were not solid, such as food, beverage and functions.

Our Club has a new Executive Chef on board and if he is anything like the last Executive Chef, Trevelyan Bale, every restaurant in the Club is doomed. Similarily, if you are planning a function, please consider our Club and we will make it as difficult as possible for you (like we do for the Dance Club).

Our Bank continues to be worried about our Club’s performance and all Bank covenants are right up to the limit.

Yours Dishonestly,

Tweedledee (Patrick Campion)
